Learn more about therapy with me!

As an adoptee and a parent, I strive to bring to the counseling relationship the same empathy, understanding, and validation I desired as a child and young adult processing my own adoption and parenting experiences. I most enjoy working with young adults who have been adopted and adoptive families.

Using a collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach, my goal is to cultivate a safe and trusting environment for exploration, introspection, empowerment, and autonomy. I believe that change comes when we can honor our past and experiences without judgment, acknowledge thoughts and beliefs that no longer align with our values, and take steps through values-aligned action towards our goals and healing.

I am dedicated to providing mental health support to adoptees and adoptive families. I have experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through anxiety, depression, communication, identity struggles, grief, and PTSD, and am an Adoption Competent therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. As a veteran and current military spouse, I am also dedicated to serving military families and servicemembers.

Finding the right therapist for you can feel really daunting. I am here to make you feel comfortable and welcomed to explore how your past trauma may be negatively impacting you today. Maybe that’s making relationships more complicated, difficulty with coworkers or friends, or having a hard time accepting yourself.

I’d love to help you.
